Red Light Therapy

This sauna includes a special Red Light Therapy feature. Studies have shown that light in the red and near-infrared spectrum contains many beneficial components to the human body. Red light can easily penetrate the body tissue from a specific wavelength of 620-660nm within a short distance of the body.
The component of light effectively activates blood cells so that the inner wall absorbs photons and converts them into internal energy to improve the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood. It is well absorbed and can promote recovery from muscle damage, treat joint pain, improve blood fluidity immunity, and accelerate tissue healing. Red light therapy is an emerging treatment option with a host of benefits.

Sauna Assembly & Installation

While the assembly process will take a minimum of 2 people, we're not joking when we say it's possible to assemble 2-person units in 45-minutes. Larger units may take more time and require an extra person, but our saunas are made with you in mind for DIY sauna assembly.

FAQs

What should I expect for shipping?

Cost: $0.00 or free shipping with your order.
Where: We currently only ship to the lower 48 or continental United States. Shipping to Canada is not being offered at this time. Orders ship from California.
Time frame: Order ship from Southern California. If you live relatively close to California, once in transit, it usually takes 2-3 business days. East coast shipments generally take 7-business days.
Semi-truck: Your sauna will ship using freight shipping. If you think a semi-truck may have issues accessing your shipping address, then please be sure to contact us at sales@GoldenDesignSaunas.com before placing an order.

What temperature should I expect?

Infrared saunas: Max temperature of 140 °F to 150 °F and takes about 20 minutes to fully warm up.
Traditional saunas: Max temperature of 185 °F and takes about 35 minutes to fully warm up.

Note: external temperatures such as cold weather will may affect the time needed for the sauna to be completely heated, similar to a cold vehicle in the winter.

Do you provide installation?

This is not a service we provide at this time. However, the vast majority of our customers are able to easily assemble their saunas with 2 people, and larger saunas sometimes require 3 people.

As for the electrical side of things, many of our saunas are plug-n-play and use 110v. Please consult an electrician for non-110v units and any other electrical concerns you may have.

Can the sauna be outdoors? Or my garage?

Saunas can go inside your garage, and it does not matter if your garage is heated, but your garage should provide protection to weather elements. Please note we have a dedicated collection of outdoor saunas that are built to withstand Mother Nature.

Can I put the sauna on carpet?

Indoor saunas can be placed on any flat surface, including carpet.

We have had our new sauna for about a week now and love it! We found it relatively easy to assemble, have used it 3 times so far, and are enjoying it.

Worth the money

We bought this after researching for a bit. We are very pleased with the ease of assembly. It is exactly as described and was delivered per agreement. Everyone in the process was excellent. no complaints whatsoever.

Clean, well built sauna - feel better

Wife and I love this sauna. Nice design/construction. Very enjoyable. Helping with aches from workout...and makes you feel better. Took about 2 hrs. for two to unpack, assemble, etc. It was a good investment in our health.

Love it more than I expected!

It is very nice for the price! I love how it helps detox my body and Im excited to see the benefits! The glass doors are sturdy, a nice bright light for reading etc. I do think it is made for one person vs 2. I think I it would feel very crowded with 2. Fairly easy to assemble, we had it up in less than an hour with just my husband and I.

Like it, but it's not for small spaces

I just got my sauna assembled and sitting in it as I write. The size is great! 2 people can fit sited, I can lay down with my legs against the wall. Sauna heated to 50 degrees Celsius in like 30 min. Two issues I see so far:
One, itll be really hard to put it in a small space. You need to be able to reach from the back to do the assembly, because you have to put the front panel first. We had space limitations and assembled the back panel first, so it was really hard to put the front door on, but we made it!
Second, I feel the cold air going through the glass, so one side of my body gets cold. Will research if I can insulate the seams between wood and glass.

Sauna works great!

I thought about getting a personal sauna for many years until my brother bought one from Costco last year. I tried it out and loved his sauna. I waited almost a year until Costco listed it on sale again and ordered it. The sauna came within a week. The delivery guy went beyond the call of duty and trucked it under my carport instead of doing the "curb side" delivery. It took me and my brother about 20 minutes to assemble since he had done this before. I have been enjoying the sauna for about a month now and I loved it. I usually sit in the sauna for about 45 minutes between my daily yoga workout and morning shower before starting the day. What I like about this particular model is the power requirement -- a regular household single-phase 15 Amps circuit. No additional circuit is required. I also like the portability feature -- light weight, easy to assemble and disassemble. Let's face it. I am not going to use it in the summer months when it's warm so I have an option to disassemble and store it away. I can also move it to my weekend home in Tahoe during the snowy winter months. The other thing I like about this sauna is its dimensions. I can insert this unit into any medium size closets in the house that I don't often use. What I don't like about this unit is that the controls are manually set. I would like to be able to set the heat using WiFi to connect to my mobile phone and the intelligence person assistance devices such as the echo dot. I have already tell Alexa to set temperature on my HVAC so there is no reason not to have the same feature for the sauna since it has to be preheated for 15 to 20 minutes to bring up the temperature. The other feature I wish I have is the side windows that came with my brother's unit. The size of a 2-person sauna is quite small and adding these side windows allows the feeling that you are in a larger space than it is. I might modify the sauna to add these side windows later, and I would put in dual panes windows. Overall, it's works great and I can't really beat the price. I will keep this unit for a long time since it's portable and I can move it when I move in the near future
