While the assembly process will take a minimum of 2 people, we're not joking when we say it's possible to assemble 2-person units in 45-minutes. Larger units may take more time and require an extra person, but our saunas are made with you in mind for DIY sauna assembly.

FAQs
What should I expect for shipping?
- Cost: $0.00 or free shipping with your order.
- Where: We currently only ship to the lower 48 or continental United States. Shipping to Canada is not being offered at this time. Orders ship from California.
- Time frame: Order ship from Southern California. If you live relatively close to California, once in transit, it usually takes 2-3 business days. East coast shipments generally take 7-business days.
- Semi-truck: Your sauna will ship using freight shipping. If you think a semi-truck may have issues accessing your shipping address, then please be sure to contact us at sales@GoldenDesignSaunas.com before placing an order.
What temperature should I expect?
- Infrared saunas: Max temperature of 140 °F to 150 °F and takes about 20 minutes to fully warm up.
- Traditional saunas: Max temperature of 185 °F and takes about 35 minutes to fully warm up.
Note: external temperatures such as cold weather will may affect the time needed for the sauna to be completely heated, similar to a cold vehicle in the winter.
Do you provide installation?
This is not a service we provide at this time. However, the vast majority of our customers are able to easily assemble their saunas with 2 people, and larger saunas sometimes require 3 people.
As for the electrical side of things, many of our saunas are plug-n-play and use 110v. Please consult an electrician for non-110v units and any other electrical concerns you may have.
Can the sauna be outdoors? Or my garage?
Saunas can go inside your garage, and it does not matter if your garage is heated, but your garage should provide protection to weather elements. Please note we have a dedicated collection of outdoor saunas that are built to withstand Mother Nature.
Can I put the sauna on carpet?
Indoor saunas can be placed on any flat surface, including carpet.

Sauna works great. Looks great. Assembly was pretty self explanatory - instructions could be better as there is one assembly booklet for all models and you have to think a bit. Need a second person to move the large pieces into place and get the roof on - otherwise single person assembly. Very happy with the product heats like a champ (I do fine at the 135 degree area). Controls are simple and straight forward, blue tooth music works great. Look the unit is terrific - my only suggested improvements but not criticisms would be make the bench seat a little more robust (it is fine but just a little more substantial would make the product standout even more and provide the feeling of a far superior product for the cost - also consider a slight refinement of the assembly instructions - I am mechanically inclined but my friend Phil who is not - never could have put it together). Super happy with my purchase and would recommend to others - I looked at other units and yours hit all the criteria at a better price. Well done, Alan
Packaged very well for cross country shipping and set up easily. Heats up faster than expected and has exceeded all our expectations!
We are in love with it! It took only about an hour to put it together. Then we had to wait on the electrician so we could actually use it. It's been up and running for 3 days and we've used it everyday so far. It feels soooo good! Not to mention, its really beautiful and the aroma of the hemlock wood is soothing in itself. I highly recommend it!
Front panel was scraped in shipping. Had to rewire soffit light fixture. Front panel window molding separated from frame. It does work well. Expected better.
Brian and Golden Design saunas went above and beyond to get my order fulfilled. I originally ordered the Maxxus but it was out of stock with a long delivery time. Brian found me the Bergamo still by Golden Designs in stock with quick delivery. Everything was perfectly seamless from ordering to delivery. It is installed and operating beautifully. Highly recommend Golden Design saunas and Golden Designs.
I bought this sauna years ago and ended up moving out of State and taking it with me. It was easy to set up, and worked like a charm for years...Then for our move, we broke it down, packed it, and re-set it up. It still works like new and I use it all of the time. Keep in mind that it takes a different kind of electrical outlet, but an electrician can install that easily. We haven't paid more that $125 for installation of the new outlet. Also, I have covered the bench and the foot area with a towel while using it. The wood is still in perfect condition without sweat stains. I would definitely recommend doing that as well.
